Black-owned apparel brand celebrating Black history & culture. Designs rooted in legacy, pride & purpose. Wear the Past, Inspire the Future.
The Conscience Collection by Victoria + Irene Apparel Co. is civil rights apparel rooted in the legacy of John Lewis — one of America's most courageous voices for justice, equality, and change. Each piece, from bold statement tees to purposeful activist hoodies, is a wearable tribute to his fearless call to make good trouble and never give up the fight for a better world.
The Conscience Collection is a line of civil rights-inspired apparel created by Victoria + Irene Apparel Co. to honor the life and legacy of U.S. Representative John Robert Lewis (1940–2020) — a Freedom Rider, leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and architect of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Known for his call to make "good trouble," Lewis spent more than three decades in Congress championing voting rights, racial justice, and nonviolent resistance. This collection translates that legacy into clothing that educates, activates, and inspires.

This stuff is fire!
My tee shirt was created by Victoria Irene Apparel Co. It celebrates the Black Press by highlighting The Chicago Defender. Founded in 1905 by Robert S. Abbott it was once considered the "most important" newspaper of its kind.
